Visiting Regulations

Following are general guidelines for visitors:
  • Smoking is prohibited on all Pillbox Hill Medical Center floors and facilities.
  • Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
  • Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
  • Patient visits will be determined per care team discretion.
Patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) may be denied access if a patient's safety is at risk. Visitors to these units will be limited only to immediate family or persons requested by the patient or guardian.

Visiting Hours:
Visiting hours are important for the care and comfort of all our patients and will be enforced.
  • The emergency entrance is accessible 24-hours a day.
  • The front desk is accessible 24-hours a day.
  • Visitors are encouraged to check in at the front desk when visiting a patient.
  • Patients who are asleep may not be visited.
  • Patients visits are allowed 24-hours a day, as long as the patient is awake.
