1. JOB INFORMATION

  • ROLE:
    • Nurse Practitioners hold an advanced and autonomous role within our healthcare ecosystem. Building upon the foundation of registered nursing, Nurse Practitioners are highly educated and experienced professionals who have completed advanced graduate programs in nursing. As expert clinicians, they possess a unique blend of specialized knowledge, diagnostic skills, and a holistic approach to patient care.

      Nurse Practitioners collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients across a wide spectrum of healthcare needs. With the authority to prescribe certain medications, order diagnostic tests, and formulate comprehensive care plans, NPs contribute significantly to the well-being of our patients. Their role also extends beyond traditional nursing, incorporating elements of healthcare leadership, health promotion, and disease prevention.
    DUTIES:
    • Nurse Practitioners' duties slightly differ from the ones of a regular nurse. Listed below are a few exemplarily tasks.
      • Seeing a patient in an inpatient and outpatient setting, taking their anamnesis, performing a physical exam, and ordering laboratory tests and further examination procedures.
      • Diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases up to current standards of high-quality care.
      • Prescribing medicines, and re-newing prescriptions, setting up a health plan.
      • Providing education on disease prevention and lifestyle.
      • Mentoring nurses, and offering classes.
  • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
      • A high level of cirtical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with supervision is required.
      • The ability to put theory into action while being overseen.
      • The applicant must be in a good physical condition in order to perform requirements such as moving and lifting patients along with the abilities of full body motion, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand condition.
      • Must be knowledgeable about and abide by HIPAA laws and regulations, and maintain the utmost level of professionalism.
      • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to observe patients and maintain thorough patient records.
      • Demonstrated dedication to helping others and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
    • To fulfill the role of a Nurse Practitioner effectively, individuals must meet specific requirements that ensure their eligibility and readiness for this position.
      • Must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age and possess a legal address in the state of San Andreas;
      • Must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor in the recent past.
      • Must hold the Registered Nurse certification in San Andreas.
      • Must have completed a graduate degree such as Master of Science in Nursing.
      • Must adhere to all hospital policies and ethical guidelines.
      • Must have earned the national Nurse Practitioner certification, and board-certify with the San Andreas Board of Registered Nursing.
      • Should have at least three (3) years of specialized experience in nursing/health care (1 as registered nurse, 2 during


2. METHOD OF SELECTION

  • STEP I. PRELIMINARY JOB APPLICATION — This is the first step in applying for a job as a Job Position for Pillbox Hill Medical Center.
