1. JOB INFORMATION

  • ROLE & DUTIES:
    • The Nurse Department is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our nursing department as interns. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting and learn from experienced nurses. The intern will assist nurses with patient care activities and gain valuable knowledge and skills related to nursing practice. Duties include but aren't limited to:
      • Alerting nurses to emergencies;
      • Assist nurses with patient care activities, such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and providing basic hygiene care.
      • Observe and learn nursing procedures, such as medication administration and wound care.
      • Participate in patient education activities, such as teaching patients about their medications or post-surgical care.
      • Attend nursing team meetings and educational sessions to learn more about nursing practice.
      • Complete assigned projects or tasks related to nursing practice
    • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
      • The role of a Nursing Intern demands a unique blend of skills and attributes. These essential prerequisites ensure that they can effectively contribute to the healthcare team while furthering their education. Here are the key skills and qualifications that are highly valuable for Nursing Interns to possess:
        • A high level of cirtical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with supervision is required.
        • The ability to put theory into action while being overseen.
        • The applicant must be in a good physical condition in order to perform requirements such as moving and lifting patients along with the abilities of full body motion, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand condition.
        • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff is mandatory. One shouldn't be worried to ask a lot of questions.
        • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and unpredictable healthcare environment.
        • Empathy, compassion, and active listening abilities to provide patient-centered care.
        • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
        • Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
    • REQUIREMENTS:
      • To fulfill the role of a Nursing Intern effectively, individuals must meet specific requirements that ensure their eligibility and readiness for this position.
        • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a legal address in the state of San Andreas;
        • Must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor in the recent past.
        • Must have a satisfactory physical and mental health status to perform the essential functions of the role safely.
        • Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) or a recent nursing graduate.
        • Must adhere to all hospital policies and ethical guidelines.
        • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.


2. METHOD OF SELECTION

  • STEP I. PRELIMINARY JOB APPLICATION — This is the first step in applying for a job as a Nursing Intern for Pillbox Hill Medical Center. Aside from getting a complete overview of the applicant's professional track record, the primary objective of this application is to assess the applicant’s proficiency in the English language and requirements for the job.
