I grew up in a family that often struggled to afford healthcare bills or insurance. Due to this I have witnessed first-hand the impact that a lack of accessible healthcare can have on someone. A close relative to me was diagnosed with a chronic illness which brought huge challenges to our family in managing their condition. I made a decision to use this as motivation to ignite my passion for healthcare. When my relative finally got the help they needed I saw the tireless efforts of the nurses and realized the crucial role they play.
My motivation is deeply rooted in a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, especially those I share a community with. It's my hope that I can contribute by helping those who need it. I believe I possess essential skills to enable me to thrive in a healthcare environment. In my previous role I would deal with customer complaints often and gained valuable experience in balancing empathy and compassion, connecting with customers on a personal level to help them resolve their issues. Working in a fast paced environment also enhanced my communication skills greatly. Having to keep up the pace with a constantly moving workflow was a struggle at first but I quickly learned and found my feet.
I view becoming a nurse as a lifelong learning journey. I'm excited about furthering my knowledge when it comes to the field and I find myself fascinated by keeping myself updated with the latest medical advancements. Overall I feel my sense of purpose along with the skills I have gained in my previous role provide me enough drive to make me a promising candidate for the role I am applying. I look forward to being challenged each day.

Sabrina grew up in Phoenix Arizona. She was raised by both her parents who met overseas. Sabrina's mother was a teacher in Kenya and her father was a Japanese Humanitarian who was working to address social issues in Kenya. The two met at a community development project where they realized their beliefs aligned and quickly fell in love. The two resided in Kenya during the start of their relationship before moving to the USA for career advancement reasons. Sabrina's father found and organization that offered a broader platform and jumped at the opportunity. Sabrina's mother quickly settled in but her father could never quite quench his thirst for his need for activism. Shortly after Sabrina was born the two began to drift apart as her mother focused more on raising her daughter. Ultimately Sabrina's birth drove the two apart and her father left to pursue his original beliefs, unchanged by producing his own offspring. Due to this Sabrina never had much of a family so she always attached herself to other father figures in her life. Sabrina had no trouble making friends in school and was rather popular. She was able to maintain a healthy balance between her social and academic life. This was mainly driven due to her knowing that the only person her mother could rely on was her. Sabrina was forced to give up her social life when her mother accepted a job offer in Los Santos. They moved after Sabrina had graduated so she decided the first thing she would do is get a job for herself. She was easily recruited in the festive staff demand in a fast food chain and was kept on as a full-time employee as a result of her hard working nature. After some time in the position she realized that there was not much in ways of career advancement and so she decided to pursue her passion for healthcare. Sabrina had gained valuable skills within her brief employment and was now ready to return to education.
