Elizabeth grew up in wealth, but hated every second of it. She was trained to be a certain person, someone that she wasn't. So, when she eventually ran from her family in her early twenties, she spent a long time trying to wash that feeling away. She wanted to stop looking down on the poor, and start helping everyone. She wanted to live among the common person, work the same jobs as them. And EMS provided a great opportunity to start.
