I'd like to join Pillbox for the very reason that many people in this field do- to help others. It's always been a passion of mine, and I'm looking forward to making it the rewarding career I know it can be. I'm motivated, disciplined and willing to learn. I enjoy a challenge, and I'm sure Pillbox is more than capable of presenting challenges that I'm excited to overcome. I believe I should be chosen because of my willingness to learn and adapt. I truly feel like there isn't an obstacle that I can't overcome, and that I will easily find my place within Pillbox. My ability to work and communicate with a team, as well as take constructive criticism and learn from my mistakes, will make me an integral part of the staff. Overall, I'd love the chance to build a career at Pillbox and I look forward to the opportunity.

8.9) What's the backstory of your character? Provide information in regards to your character's childhood, education, past jobs, hobbies, motivations, future goals, and everything else you find relevant:
Yesenia was born on the East side of the city in El Burro, to parents Rosalia and Humberto. In her early childhood, times were tough and Yesenia and her siblings frequently went without much of their basic needs. This was mostly due to her parents being but teenagers at the time of Yesenia's birth, as she's the eldest sibling at 23 years old. Her father started out as many young Hispanic men did in El Burro, getting involved with the street life and gang activity. Once he reached a certain age and his family kept growing, he decided to turn his life around and join the LSPD.
This had a huge impact on Yesenia's life, and it allowed their family to live comfortably for many years. With Yesi being a female and her father having experienced the darker side of life, he came down hard on her and made it a point to focus on education. Yesenia performed very well in school, despite being influenced by her peers and getting into trouble. Much like her father, she'd always wanted to make something of herself.
Yesenia took an interest in the medical field as she grew up around first responders, with many of her father's close friends being in both LSPD and LSFD. Her caring nature and hunger for knowledge and advancement made it an easy choice. Just as Yesenia was about to enter her second year of pre-med, her family learned that her father was a dirty cop. The underground lifestyle he'd once lead never fully left his side, and he'd been engaged in shady dealings, evidence tampering and false testimonies on behalf of gang members in El Burro. This, of course, sent him to prison and sent Yesenia into a spiral, causing her to take a leave of absence from school.
In more recent months, the controversy and grieving has died down, and Yesenia's more motivated than ever to make something herself, whether in spite of her father or in his name. She plans to return to medical school, and with the knowledge and experience she can gain at Pillbox, she wants to join the team as a nursing student. In the future, she plans to obtain her doctorate, although she hasn't quite decided in what exact specialty. She plans to utilize Pillbox to help her figure out her career goals and get started on building a future that, hopefully, turns out better than her role model's.
