I am reaching out to PHMC today and writing this letter to express my genuine interest in joining the team as a psychologist. Providing a source of help and more generally health care as well as behavioral psychology and entrepreneurship have always been passions of mine. I will say, that my curiosity to always learn more has been a powerful leading force throughout my studies and the reason why I chose to complete a dual degree program in Psychology and Business. It allowed me today to have both an MBA as well as a Ph.D. in Psychology. Although maybe atypical for some, I believe it allowed me to learn how to work on a bit combination of skills throughout those two fields that seem to be worlds apart. Needless to say, I have acquired over the years quite the experiences, and those assets as well as my qualifications are the reasons why I would be an ideal candidate. Being very adaptable, I can work under different situations and independently as well as in a team. I believe that in the field of psychology, we never stop learning especially when we have that thirst for knowledge further we help others as well; it is one thing I love and also why I sincerely do believe my skills would add value to the team.

Paolina had always been a curious child since she couldn't even herself remember. That desire for exploration grew with her over the years as her perspective and mind broadened. Her family would travel a lot throughout Europe due to her parents' professions which confronted Paolina with the need to adapt herself but also discover differences and similarities wherever they went quite rapidly overtime Thanks to her father's guidance who was already a well-established Psychiatrist in Milan and the room her parents left their children to grow and explore, it allowed her to feed further into this big question of 'why do humans behave a certain or certain way?' who remained a pivotal question in her life.
Her love for science as well as her love for arts and creativity led her to originally focus on business and figured, once her Bachelor's Degree was in her pocket, that she'd focus on business only and leave Psychology as a hobby. However, a tragic incident, the loss of her childhood best friend led the woman to turn this around and put psychology back at the center again. After much research, it is how she decided a dual degree program would be best suited for her and it is when she decided to move to the US on her own to chase her new dreams and become a shoulder and ear for people who needed it the most.
Throughout her studies, she dabbled in a lot of jobs to keep herself afloat such as bartender, barista, part-time model, and later a full-time one, waitress, and a couple of part-time corporate jobs as well. Her hobbies seemed to mostly gravitate around reading, writing, drawing, and working out. All in all, activities to keep herself healthy and in check physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Although unfortunate, her best friend's passing made her realize how much mental health weighed so much more than she ever thought and felt that it was barely addressed and normalized enough, she thus decided to make it her mission to bring about a change and maybe someday go back to Italy to begin what she had, at the time, started.
